Vice-Chancellor's Message

It is indeed my pleasure to present to you this new website of Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Rashtirya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha, New Delhi and forward my maiden message to all of you through this popular media. It is my earnest and sincere desire to make this premier institute of Sanskrit learning reach the nook and corner of the country and abroad. Personally speaking, I as an humble servant of Sanskrit language intend to be accessible to each and all through this media perodically and explore the possibilities of communicating various policies and programmes designed exclusively for promotion of this rich language which is regarded as the mother of most of the Indian languages.

I take this opportunity of appealing to our youths to devote a few moments of their precious time to the cause of Sanskrit which will not only take this language to new heights but also prevent its possible extinction for want of willing readers. Once we succeed in our attempt of preserving our antiquities, cultural heritage and essence of values, our great country will stand as a symbol of peace, harmony and love. Let us take a vow and join hands together for this great cause with all dedication, commitment and sincerity so as to restore the prestine glory of this subject.

May I conclude with the appeal of Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri who was an ardent lover of Sanskrit and whose name has been associated with this great institution:

"-I appeal to our young men and women to inculcate in themselves discipline and character and work for the unity and advancement of the nation".

-Prof. (Smt.) Usha Rani Kapoor
