Grievance Redressal Cell

The Grievance Redressal Cells have been set up to observe the following general principles:

  1. The Campus Community should be made fully aware of the grievance redressal mechanism.
  2. Every grievance from the student/staff should be registered and acknowledged.
  3. As a matter of general rule no grievances should be pending beyond the limit of three months.
  4. The Chairman & Member - Secretary of the respective Grievance Redressal Cell should make himself/herself freely available to hear the Grievance personally, at least once a week at fixed timings.

Powers and Functions of GRCS

  1. To entertain written and signed complaints and petitions of students/staff in respect of matters directly affecting them individually or as a group.
  2. To inquire into the grievances, and make recommendations and report the concerned authorities - VC, Academic Council & Executive Council for redressal or suitable action.
  3. To recommend appropriate action against complainant, if allegations made in the documents are found to be baseless.

  1. Senior Most Dean of the Faculties - Chairman
  2. Dean of Students Welfare - Member
  3. Dean of the Faculty Concerned(special invitee) - Member
  4. Proctor - Member
  5. Two Nominees of the VC including one Woman Teacher - Member
  6. One Teacher representing SC/ST/OBC - Member
  7. Assistant Registrar(Academic) - Member Secretary

  1. Senior Most Dean of the Faculties-Chairman
  2. Two Senior Most Professor - Member
  3. Senior Most Associate Professor - Member
  4. Senior Most Assistant Professor - Member
  5. One Teacher representing Woman Teacher - Member
  6. One Teacher representing SC/ST/OBC - Member
  7. Assistant Registrar(Academic) - Member Secretary

Grievance Redressal Cell : Non-teaching Employees

  1. Senior Most Dean of the Faculties-Chairman
  2. Deputy Registrar(Admin) or his nominee - Member
  3. Assistant Engineer - Member
  4. Senior Most Assistant Registrar - Member
  5. Senior Most Woman employees - Member
  6. One Employee representing SC/ST/OBC - Member
  7. Senior Most Section Officer - Member Secretary

Process of redress of Grievances

The redressal of Grievances of the students and stake holders is the top priority of the University. The task of handling the Grievances of the students has been assigned to Dean-Students Welfare. The Grievances of Staff and other members is handled by dully formed committees.
